The Gowri Steels, one of south Tamilnadu's major producers of TMT steel, has an annual manufacturing capacity of 50,000 metric tonnes.
Gowri Steels, which laid its foundation in the secondary steel sector in the year 1992, at Uthukuli in the Tiruppur District, began with a production capacity of 12,000 metric tonnes per year and has since grown to a capacity of 50,000 metric tonnes per year. We, Sri Gowri Steel Rolling Mills, believe we have grown slowly with solidarity. The company is headed by Mr.Durairaj Kuppusamy, the Managing Director, who has chosen a path of sustainable growth towards manufacturing steel as well as building an ecologically stable society.
As a specialized manufacturer of TMT bars, we use hitech QST technology and incorporate this technology to produce the best product.
STEP1
The raw materials used in the production of steel TMT bars are Steel Scrap, Sponge Iron, Ferrochemicals
STEP2
The Raw materials are charged into induction furnace to make molten steel. After arriving at suitable chemical composition. Molten metal is transferred to Casting machine by a ladle.
STEP3
The molten steel is poured into a continuous casting machine, which produces long billets
STEP4
The billets are then passed through a series of rolling mills, which compress the steel and shape it into TMT bars.
STEP5
The TMT bars are then rapidly cooled using a water spray system to harden the outer layer of the bar, making it more resistant to damage.
STEP6
The bars are cut to the required length and bundled together for transportation.
